This video shares the work co-created by a group of people affected by dementia. For 10 weeks SoundUp Arts worked with a group of members from Salford Age UK, coming together to take part in weekly creative arts sessions. Over the 10 weeks we shared a lot of laughter, made music, poems, artwork and formed connections. This film summarises the work and the project. This project was generously funded by Salford CVS. During lockdown SoundUp Arts has been delivering online creative sessions to people living with dementia and their families. This video shares and celebrates the work created by our 'Laughters Group' made up of people living with dementia who access support through the local charity Together Dementia Support in Manchester. This group meets weekly to make music, tell stories, write poems, move and connect. This film captures some of the creative outcomes the group made together online, and the impact that connecting through creativity has had on this group of people living with dementia during lockdown.
