CORRAN QUARTET
Three Scots and a Portuguese! Together they are the Corran Quartet. Currently busy preparing and adapting their lined up live performances for 2020. As well as having many concerts throughout the UK in the diary, they had planned to play the entire cycle of Beethoven Quartets in the iconic London Music Café, appropriately called "Fidelio". Their story.....after playing together in a variety of ensembles, and soon realising that their mutual passion was the string quartet repertoire, Ed, Kirsty and Molly (the 3 Scots) and Joana (the lone Portuguese!) decided to come together to form a new quartet, and so Corran was Born in 2019. Since then they have been studying intensively with James Boyd and Catherine Manson through 'MusicWorks'.
They recently had the pleasure of performing live on BBC Radio 3's 'In Tune', and are looking forward to performing at Stamford International Chamber Music Festival. They are also Quartet in Residence at Musique Cordiale International Festival 2020. Corran Quartet have now begun their exciting journey of performing all the Beethoven quartets in 2020, whether that be as planned or not(!), and are very much looking forward to Performing many other concerts around the UK in the future.
