HANNAH BENNET
Hannah Bennett is a mezzo soprano from Luton, Bedfordshire and graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. She trained on the preparatory opera pathway under Yvonne Howard. Hannah has performed at the Wigmore Hall, Oxford Lieder Festival and was a 2019 Leeds Lieder Festival Young Artist. Hannah was also selected as a Young Artist for the 2020 season with Opera Holland Park.
Onstage, engagements include: Flora (The Enchanted Pig, Dove/ Hampstead Garden Opera) and Tisbe (La Cenerentola, Rossini/London Young Sinfonia), Sesto (Giulio Cesare, Handel in English/ King’s Opera), The Fox (The Cunning Little Vixen, Janacek/RAM VF Scenes), Romeo (I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Bellini/ RAO Scenes), Angelina (La Cenerentola, Rossini/ RAM VF Scenes), Charlotte (Werther, Massenet, RAM VF Scenes) and Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Rossini/ Italian Summer School).
Hannah was a member of the prestigious Song Circle at the Academy from 2016 to 2019 and was a soloist and regular chorus member for the recent Royal Academy of Music/ Kohn Foundation Bach Cantatas Series. In concert, Hannah has sung at venues including St John’s Smith Square, Holywell Music Room, Ely Cathedral and Arundel Cathedral.
