MATT CONCANNON
Matt is a professionally trained Tenor singer, actor and performer from Salford, Greater Manchester with training from the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where he graduated in 2017. His extensive experience in acting and singing has enabled him to tour across the country and beyond for the past 3 years in Musical theatre and acting. Recently seen in Flashdance UK tour and The Girl On The Train UK tour and West End. He also played Frank Sinatra in London and Edinburgh in a production called One For My Baby featuring a live Jazz band and songs from Sinatra. The music of the 1950-60’s highly influences Matts singing style and his knowledge of Jazz and Musical theatre based repertoire is highly impressive, including songs from Cole Porter, Rogers and Hammerstein to The Rat Pack and The Beatles.
He has experience in choral concerts and solo performances at Noel Coward Concert (The Savoy Theatre), A West End Christmas (The Actors Church, Covent Garden) to name a few.
Matt's extensive knowledge of the performance industry is something he would like to be able to give back to people who feel they have lost their creative and artistic forms.He has led many workshops in theatre with all age ranges and makes sure that he tailors his sessions to each group or individual specifically.
He has a passion for singing, writing and performing spoken word poetry and playing the guitar and percussion. Matt really enjoys learning new art forms and skills. He approach every opportunity with enthusiasm and spirit and would love the chance to help people with dementia re-live their past, experience feelings and emotions and enable them to connect with each other.
