Workshops
Our participatory music sessions are delivered in care homes and are specially designed to include people living with dementia. Our sessions are relaxed, inclusive and joyful, providing a place for people with dementia to connect with others through singing, music-making and creative activities. Open to all abilities, our sessions will enable a group to connect through music, exploring well known and new songs.

Sharing the joy of interactive music
Each session starts with fun getting to know you activities and warm up games, followed by a relaxed, expressive singing and music-making session. Our session are mostly paper-free, and the workshop leader will run activities in a flexible, responsive manner. We use a range of percussion instruments, body percussion and interesting props to inspire participants and spark enjoyment from moving, playing and singing.
“'Pure gorgeousness. I wish you could come every week!'
- AL, Care Home Activities Coordinator
The focus in every session is to boost wellbeing, encourage expression and facilitate connection for people living with dementia. Improved mood and increased brain activity are amongst the myriad of benefits that music fosters, and our sessions ensure that these therapeutic benefits are maximised.
